J.W.Pepper Editor's Choice Arrangement!

This Latin pop opener sizzles with excitement from start to finish! Written as the kick-off song for an annual fundraising event, the lyrics include some Spanish phrases in tribute to the strong Latino presence in the community. The arrangement features heavy Latin percussion, two instrumental features including a sax solo and a lead trumpet solo, as well as an alto soloist closing out the song as the lead over a polyphonic final chorus. This piece would work perfectly as a mass choir number opening a pops concert, as a one-off performance for a community event, or to close out a comp set with a huge celebration.

Instrumentation: Piano/Synth/Guitar/Bass/Drums/Percussion/2 Tpt/2 Tbn/Alto, Tenor Sax

When the pressure gets too high
We all need a little release
When the problems keep a-comin’ from nine to five
You never get a moment of peace

Don’t hold it in
You got to let your feelings out
Let me hear you shout
Louder and louder,
Con fuerza, with power,
Things are gonna feel better
When we all come together

Make some noise
Oye, oye
I wanna hear your voice
I wanna hear you sound off
Turn the stage lights on
We’ll get this party goin’ strong

I wanna hear you sound off
Quiero oir tu voz
I wanna hear you sound off
Make some noise!

Break the silence!
Let the music play!
Raise your hands to the sky
Dance the night away!
Break the silence!
Let the music play, oye, oye!

When your worries got you down
When your world’s spinning outta control
In the middle of the crowd
Turn your volume up loud
Let me hear that sound!

Make some noise
Oye, oye
I wanna hear your voice
I wanna hear you sound off
Turn the stage lights on
We’ll get this party goin’ strong
