Wrong Side Of Heaven
This 2014 song by Five Finger Death Punch expresses feelings of being lost and uncertain in the space between right and wrong. Although written in the perspective of a military veteran experiencing the effects of PTSD, the lyrics are very general and could apply to a wide variety of desperate situations in a show. There is a brief solo feature in the first section of the song, and the guitar is prominently featured in the heavy rock instrumentation.
Instrumentation: Piano/Synth/Guitar/Bass/Drums/2 Tpt/1 Tbn/Alto, Tenor Sax

I spoke to God today And she said that she's ashamed What have I become? What have I done? I spoke to the devil today And he swears he's not to blame And I understood 'Cause I feel the same Arms wide open I stand alone I'm no hero And I'm not made of stone Right or wrong I can hardly tell I'm on the wrong side of Heaven And the righteous side of Hell The wrong side of Heaven And the righteous side The righteous side of Hell I'm not defending Downward descending Falling further and further away Closer every day Arms wide open I stand alone I'm no hero And I'm not made of stone Right or wrong I can hardly tell I'm on the wrong side of Heaven And the righteous side of Hell (Five Finger Death Punch)
