I Don't Want To Go
This ballad was a hit in 2001 for the Christian pop group Avalon. It features a lush synth soundscape, and starts with a simple pop ballad style which gradually builds into a more intense power ballad with gospel-style backing vocals. There is a lengthy alto solo feature through the first verse and chorus, later on in the bridge, and again for the final vocal statement of the song.
Instrumentation: Piano/Synth/Guitar/Bass/Drums/2 Tpt/2 Tbn/Alto & Tenor Sax
